I would assume it's probably too late to do this, but just in case...could I write up a readme file for the game after it's been submitted, to clarify on the mechanics I forgot to explain during the tutorial?

It's not changing the game itself, but it is altering the submission after the deadline, so I'm not sure.

Looking at the entry compilation (specifically, the .zip version), I see that Team "That Big Fat Chicken" has a folder, but an empty one--is this correct?

(-(\-) I swear i put them into that folder. welp, time to spend a few hours reuploading all the archives. *sigh*

Could'tn you just make a part two and avoid the reupload?

If you are full lives you cannot move at all. If you have 1 death 1 heart you can walk. If you have 2 death hearts you can jump, but you cannot get 2 death hearts in the first level, because you loose. IE no jumping in the first level.

Thanks for clarifying! I will retry the game with this knowledge.

I got a report about my game crashing in windows because of missing permission to write the savefile. 'Run as administrator' solves the problem should you encounter it. Just a heads up.

If anyone is interested I'm doing quick minireviews of all the entered games.

4 done, 19 to go!

EDIT: 18 to go. Guess I shouldn't review my own game. Or maybe I should? Hmmmm, interesting concept...

Our game had much better graphics but because of one "bug" while releasing, our game only starts with "Fastest" or "Lowest" graphic settings (So no shadows, SSAO, anti-aliasing or anything like that is enabled). So, you think graphics are decent.

Here are actual graphics.

It has day night cycle too.

You can also re-generate your health and stamina by sleeping in the bed which is in the one of the house.

I can't speak for the for-reals judges, but I've been bumping everything up to highest quality for all the Unity games since it prompts you for a resolution and quality level at the start.

Hello everyone! I'm done writing the post-mortem for my game. Here it is:

But unfortunately, we had disabled that dialog because I wrote some code to change resolution from the menu. If allowed, I'd like to enable this Unity Quality settings dialog. Otherwise, we're going to get decent score on graphics and on what we worked so hard.

@DKoding,

I know this is late but I just read the review you posted on our game. First thanks for taking a look at the game. Your review was very kind and had some very good tips to make it better. We will take these comments and problems and fix our game. I know the competition is over but for me it isn't about competing and winning but making a better game.

Secondly I'm sorry the camera made you sick that will really need to be fixed because I can't have players upchucking their meals while playing our game...

There you have it folks, all games reviewed: http://darkdroidcom.blogspot.no/2015/08/woa-iii-post-mortem-quick-roundup-of.html

There were a couple with game breaking bugs, it would be nice to know if others can run the games without the problems I had, maybe with some help I can figure out how to run them too.

Thanks again for the reviews. Your review of Orc Party sounds much more positive now you know how it works! I had planned an interactive tutorial, but ran out of time. Lesson learnt, I will make it a priority to include an in game tutorial or at the very least show the controls on screen.

I thought my readme was quite informative and thorough though!
