If anyone is interested I'm doing quick minireviews of all the entered games.

Follow the progress here: http://darkdroidcom.blogspot.no/2015/08/woa-iii-post-mortem-quick-roundup-of.html

4 done, 19 to go!

EDIT: 18 to go. Guess I shouldn't review my own game. Or maybe I should? Hmmmm, interesting concept...

in all we had 22 entry's!

I actually count 23 entries smile.png 4.5% more!

24 actually, brunoscholz managed to give me a working copy last night. he's since gotten his dropbox link to work(i did however forget him in my original post, but that's been corrected now).

I had uploaded the wrong verison (To be exact, I compiled a version, but forgot to update the ZIP file) I changed the file behind the link to the newer one, so now, so I hope its okay. (You can check that no code has changed since the end of the competition)

I downloaded which ever version was up at that link last night. if the compiled version was uploaded after midnight, unfortunately it cannot be accepted for judging(although i have ran you game and it runs fine on my system!)

Ouch I didn't miss my entry by posting in the other thread did I?

Of course not, I have your game and you are in the list of entries!

Will the judges write any notes on our games, or will they only give scores?

This is the type of feedback to expect: http://www.gamedev.net/blog/1587/entry-2260366-week-of-awesome-ii-my-scores/ It is the number one thing i wanted to change from the first year was how people received feedback. I think i've done a good job last year, and hope to continue the trend for this year!

hey guys, I put my game in the Game Jolt, and it's on the home page biggrin.png ... you guys can rate there and help, please <3

That's awesome to see!! congrats!

So... Slicer...

[background=#fafbfc]0: You heard the theme right? Death is useful. And you made a farming game? [/background]

tongue.png

ph34r.png you were apart of that team tongue.png

I don't know if it matters. But Anna on my team was not able to participate at all. So she doesn't need to be on the team list. If we win I don't want to be forced to share any of the winnings with her... even though she is my wife.

Ouch, harsh! and right after her birthday/anniversary tongue.png

All these people with crossposts... WHERE DID YOU FIND THE TIME?!

some how a few folks *cough*Thaumaturge, Orymus3*cough* managed to really get around.

Oh no! I made a farming game! 0 points for me I guess.

hehe, i was actually thinking about how you might take that one tongue.png

I've hopefully fixed all the journal/game link issues(let me know if something is still wrong). I've also compiled the participation points for each user, so you can know how you did in that category(nearly all of you received 10's).

I should have the compiled entries up shortly, as well i'll add a sheet for reviewers to use that is similar to what the judges will be using.

@slicer,

I just noticed you have the wrong post for our game. We did make it in time I though your final post was 2 minutes after ours when you closed the competition. Did we miss the dead line then? Sorry for not catching this earlier.

2 minutes before competition ended.

Hello to all my stalkers.

you did, and good catch, for some reason the underlying link points to http://www.etekworld.com/teamyag/projectyag/OrcsVsZombies.zip instead of http://www.etekworld.com/teamyag/projectyag/OrcsVsZombies2.zip

edit: uploading the archive of all entries now, probably ganna take a little bit, as it's sitting at .6GB, going to provide both .rar and .zip

Probably was my fault last night was a bit rummy from the week and it was a stressful last dash to the finish line. Thanks for updating it though!

Ok folks, here are the archives:

Thanks for the positive review :)

Regarding this part:

Very original mechanic and quite fun. I imagine it was quite hard to design levels at least if it was done completely manually. A fun game I'll get back to.

All levels were designed manually. I designed level 1 and 3, while the artist designed level 2.

Hello to all my stalkers.

I've taken the time to write up a post mortem where I describe the interesting ideas I had and added some spoilers to get through to the end in case you're having trouble with that. Don't worry, the spoilers are enclosed in spoiler tags so you can safely check out the journal without being spoiled :P. Also, easer eggs happy.png.
