Setting Aside Distractions - Getting Back to Godot

So it was way back in March that I last posted on here. I'm looking back at my last post, and it seems I'd already given myself a set of pretty decent goals for my next project. I'll be sticking with it, and sticking with my decision to try out the Godot engine.

I have several specific game ideas, but the one I'm going to start with will be very simple. It'll be called Coin Collector, a simple arcade-style game where you collect coins while avoiding dangers. Nothing fancy, just getting myself familiar with Godot, and achieving the basic goals listed in my previous blog post. I'll be starting to put up Issues over on my “riley-learns-godot” GitHub repo related to Coin Collector in the coming days.

I'd be interested in seeing how others are using Godot… If you're making 2D games with it, feel free to get in touch, show me your project, bounce ideas off, etc.!

Are you planning on using GDScript, or C#, the visual system, or something else?
