In my last blog post, I revealed that the story mode campaign for Garden of Eating was complete. Following some clean-up, I've released the game as version 2.0!
Check out my Youtube video spotlighting the game. And keep in touch on my Youtube channel for ongoing content. I'm currently queueing up a game development series where I'll be going over how the game was built.
The game is available over on my GitHub account, as Zip archive garden_of_eating_2_0_0.zip.
I managed to get around GitHub's 100MB file size limit, primarily by decreasing the audio files from 44KHz down to 22KHz. Any audio file that only included voice-over content was also changed from stereo to mono. With about 40 audio files in the story mode campaign, this shaved off nearly 50MB from the Zip archive.
I hope some folks will give the game a shot, and let me know what you think!
Regardless, it will be onwards and upwards for me from here... I'm starting to think about what I should work on next. I'm fairly certain I'll be checking out Godot, to see what it has to offer... And I'd like to spend a bit of time perusing gamedev.net here to see what others are working on as well!
