We are pleased to announce the release of Matali Physics 6.8, the next significant step on the way to the seventh major version of the environment. Matali Physics 6.8 introduces a number of improvements and fixes to Matali Physics Core, Matali Render and Matali Games modules, presents movable action fields, movable fluid surfaces with volumes, large animated objects with full movement control, innovative real-time object scaling, and ready-to-use, multi-platform, physics-based photo mode.
What is Matali Physics?
Matali Physics is an advanced, modern, multi-platform, high-performance 3d physics environment intended for games, VR, AR, physics-based simulations and robotics. Matali Physics consists of the advanced 3d physics engine Matali Physics Core and other physics-driven modules that all together provide comprehensive simulation of physical phenomena and physics-based modeling of both real and imaginary objects.
What's new in version 6.8?
- Matali Games 6.8. The latest intermediate layer for Matali Physics environment provides ready-to-use, multi-platform, physics-based photo mode where any physics scene element can be frozen in state and motion. All lights, shadows, fog, characters, fluid surfaces, particle effects, animations, and controllers can be paused and then seamlessly resumed so players can capture the best-looking shots;
- Refreshed Matali Physics Game demo with an innovative approach to scaling objects in real time. The introduced solution enables simulation of plant and animal growth, size changes of inanimate objects and a whole range of special effects. You can scale both single objects and their entire hierarchies, including those connected by constraints, all in real time with correct, automatic recalculation physical parameters and constraints. Matali Physics is probably the only real-time environment that offers such ready-to-use functionality;
- Movable action fields, movable fluid surfaces with volumes, large animated objects with full movement control as well as comprehensive support for the latest versions of supported platforms;
- Other improvements and fixes which complete list is available on the History webpage.
