Didn't Israel offer to allow the flotilla to dock at Ashdod and transport humanitarian supplies by land after inspection?

IDF says will stop flotilla, but transfer supplies to Gaza

oh, btw. My middle finger to those who rated me down for having an oppinion.
drop dead pussies.

Are you regretting that you asked me to start this thread? [grin]

Oh God no! :) This is a perfect opportunity to unveil this anti-sionist charade the right-winged muslims are propagating through the western media. The truth is that they don't give a fuck about their own people. They prove it every day in under their own regimes.

Of course they did. But how Hamas would break the blockade and provide themselves with the necesary weaponery to kill more people then?

Heh, seriously. But to be honest, the whole thing sounds like a publicity stunt to begin with. According to the article I posted (and I've heard this before), a hundred trucks carrying supplies cross into Gaza daily already. The blockade was announced and everyone knew this was going to happen -- it's exactly what everyone wanted.

Congrats, with that one sentence what little credibility you had in my eyes has totally vanished.

(and for the record I rated you down LONG before this thread happened.)

Yeah, it's a good thing those weapons didn't make it. God knows what Hamas would have done if they had gotten their hands on two dozen clubs and kitchen knives! :(

Yup. Hundreds of trucks for 1.5 million people. Trucks not carrying, for example, cement, which is sorely needed to rebuild the region after Israel's armed incursions in 2008.

Is this an admission of rating people down for petty reasons? I suppose if he had agreed with your opinion you would have rated him up. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done, my friend!

I wasn't talking about this shipment. But about the ones that would come if Israel was forced to raise the blockade by the international community.

You know what? So far I know, Jewish people don't go around blowing up things in a futile attempt to conquer the world. Most armed conficts in the WORLD have something to do with the Muslims and their freaking hatred towards everything.

They're not starving. Israel's policy seems to be one of halting development and progress altogether until they oust Hamas. If you want to witness a humanitarian crisis, you should look at Darfur or North Korea during times of famine. Nobody cares about them because they aren't being oppressed by a big bad Western power.

I don't think Israel is going to back down. Western leaders (including European leaders who pay lip service to the Palestinian cause for domestic political reasons) don't seem to actually want them to. It seems the path of least resistance would be for Hamas to give up. Maybe the Palestinians could unify with the existing, liberal Israeli state, where they would be better off than even in the neighboring Arab states.

That would be no fun, though. Everyone loves a good pissing contest.
