Oh - here are the survey results from Valve. Basically, Steam pops up and asks you to take a survey after playing a Steam game (for me, during Half Life 2), and these are the compiled results.

Interesting to see what people have.

I think

are probably more accurate.
This space for rent.
I didn't see my Mobility Radeon 7500C in the list :(

Can not the Mac OS-X be ran on regular Intel hardware or some virtualisation kit? Then the spec could be 80% of that of the PC spec (just to be safe although I know some of the virtualisation stuff on common architecture is running 95%+)

Not with any hardware graphics support. Virtualisation is pretty useless for games.

I have a question about rule 11:

Quote:
11. Any entry containing content that would qualify it for an 'AO' rating from the ESRB will be disqualified. In other words, if it's the sort of game that one would find in an "adult bookstore," it is not acceptable.

I understand that as no pornographic sex, thats ok with me, however the AO rating reads:

Quote:
Titles rated AO (Adults Only) have content that should only be played by persons 18 years and older. Titles in this category may include prolonged scenes of intense violence and/or graphic sexual content and nudity.

Are we not allowed to have prolonged scenes of intense violence as well? How do you even measure what's ok and what is not?.
Are we able to use ageia physicsX for our games?
I dream hard of helping people.

I take it as "No photorealistic depictions of a person being strangled with their own intestines,"

If your game is too violent, I'm sure someone will give you a tap on the shoulder and say, "Hey Kwizatz, you might want to tone down that scene with the meatgrinder," before it's too late.

[smile] I think I am still burned because the ESRB indirectly made Rockstar tone down Manhunt 2 by giving it an AO rating thats all.

Sorry, I should clarify that rule - the ESRB rating is what you should be going by, not the 'adult bookstore' thing. It's basically there because I don't want people making entries that would draw negative press attention to the contest. It's not a comment on whether AO games are valid art or not, or anything like that.
