Hi

I''m working on a driving game...

But hey, I''m programming an ''engine''. When I can drive a car around a decent 3d world, with a reasonable ammount of realistic physics, then I''ll worry about the *game*.

We do have a game design doc though, just to keep me on track (pardon the pun!).

Sorry if this bores you, but check out the url below.

anyone beat that?

MENTAL, can we have a url like thos asked for?

Otherwise I''ll say I''m working on a one-on-one fighting game with 21 characters and 31 backgrounds!

Only joking! It sounds impressive, are you able to give us a glimpse of some screen shots yet?

Cheers

Matt

Does this mean I''m the only person working on a side-scroller in 640x480x8 mode??
I''m just beginning to get to work on my first real real game. I have about 5 people working on it with me. It''s still in the design stage, though. It''s based in an asylum, where you can be a patient or a doctor. The place is corrupt, as you find out further into the game. Tons of multiple endings, and the plot itself just really goes off on a tangent at times. Done in OpenGL, it''s a first-person navigation, with simple get item/use item, cinematic scenes during the more important parts, and a little love from its creators. ;-)

Sorry but currently I am working on an engine. It is a 3d terrain engine with a limited view. I do have plans to put it into a game I have partialy designed.

my website:

There is no URL, it''s being developed my myself and some friends. I didn''t mean there ARE 20 characters and 30 bgs, that''s how many we have PLANNED. There are currently 5 complete characters, 2 of which have been texture mapped, and about 3 fully textures backgrounds. Once we work out some of the bugs in the code (i.e. AI - the computer is STILL running in the wrong direction) I''ll upload a demo and post a message telling people all about it. There is only 5 people working on the game at the monent (1 engine programmer - me, a tools programmer, 3d artist, 2d artist and a sound guy) and we''re all either 15 or 16 years old.

We''re sort of ripping Soul Calibur a little with the "8-way run" system, but apart from that it''s completely different.

I''m working on my first game. It''s a really crappy frogger clone. I used microsoft paint !! It''s soo ugly. I''m hoping to learn how to draw with paint shop pro hehe. The game is done except that it''s only one level.

Well, actually I''m prototyping it in Director 7 at school. Okay, so I can''t really code, but I think that it''s better to find out whether anyone even likes it [including myself] without taking as much time. Besides, it allows me to focus more on the machanics than worry about my sloppy code. Anyways...

Right now I''m just working on the battle system for two players. Each player gets four "stars" to divide between their armor [defense], sword [phys. attk.], boots [movement], and staff [magic attk. / heal.] The stars carry power and change element based on actions in battle. I don''t feel like giving away all the details. In fact I haven''t even bothered with a web site beacuse, as I wrote before, I want to see if anyone likes it.
