Your most "legendary" games
Yeah, X-COM, another one I forgot!
Though, I only played X-COM 2, "TFTD", but I was told
that it is pretty much the same, from gameplay.
It is now for sure you can throw away your computer
Well, wasn't going to do it, but here's mine!
Ranging haphazardly from older to newer.
About the first game I ever remember playing is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - the boxing engine was pretty cool, and boy did I get stuck in the catacombs.
Don't think I heard anyone mention Road Rash - CRAZY racing with lovely bashing combat. Got worse with each incarnation though.
Test Drive was a wicked racing game.
Most of the sierra games were great, as well as the sierra/dynamix games: Willy beamish, Heart of the Dragon, and some futuristic one I cant remember the name of. They had a very different interface from the other sierra games. And don't leave out the Gabriel Knight games - you don't know atmosphere until you play Gabriel Knight: sins of the fathers. And such an innovative (for the time) dialogue engine as well. All Kings quests BELOW 7, all space quests, the police quests before they started getting good graphics (the first one's the best), codename: iceman (as an impressionable kid, the picking up the girl from the bar and going to her room scene, well, made an impression.), Quest for glory (the type interface worked better for this series I think, the original Hero's Quest was funner to me than the remade quest for glory).
Lucas Arts adventures rocked: day of the tentacle, sam and max, full throttle, maniac mansion, the monkey island games, I'm sure there are many more I'm forgetting.
More:
Lemmings
worms
alien breed
dungeon master
lands of lore
gateway 1 and 2
adventure (the original!)
tass times in tonetown
The longest journey
Deus Ex
Half life
Goldeneye
all zelda's except the 2nd one
all traditional mario games
yoshis island
all final fantasy's up to 7 (I quit after 6, never had a playstation)
the first sonic
T E T R I S!!!!!! This game deserved it's own line. This game will be around FOREVER
Marble madness
Monkey ball
Harvest moon
Ogre battle (The cool simulation epic style ones, not tactics ogre the cool, but not as interesting isometric view ones)
settlers - my fav rts game to this day, still play it!
alpha centauri - my first introduction to the "civ" series even though it's not officially civilization, haven't played the others.
Rome - crazy game where you lead around a little guy, iso view
Kid Gloves - Very odd sidescroller I played for days as a kid leaving the computer on for like a week straight - there was no save.
Pacman, frogger, galaxian
Starfox - snes and 64
mario kart
GTA series
Nethack
Codename Eagle: Little known gem from severla years back, wonderful for LAN parties. Like tribes set during world war 1. Tanks, trucks, planes, gun turrets, or just on foot.
The journeyman project series: the whole time aspect with them is just cool, although the third one is quite lacking
ESCAPE VELOCITY - Another game that deserved its own line, just because of how cool it was when I was into it many years ago
Anachronox
I have to stop now, although I'm sorry to all those games I left out. Hmm, I need some new games to put themselves on this list, its been a while since I was astounded by a game. Deus Ex is probably the most recent.
Edit: Aw crap, just HAVE to add Grim Fandango. I mean, COME ON, REALLY man. Best adventure ever. Well, not really, but its pretty good.
Alone in the Dark as well, MEMORIES

LoL-1 was probably the best, but LoL-2 had a great story line, and some great 3D cutscenes.
They say LoL-3 sucked (But I''ve never played it).

Darkhaven Beta-test stage coming soon.
I have LOL-3 here, in a box, never played,
damn it, I should try it out! I buyed it a year or so
ago for some bucks, and forgot to play it :-)
My brother says he likes it. Hmmm.. let''s see...
Maybe I''ll search at eBay for LOL-1.

Lands of Lore 3 does indeed suck, but in an entertaining way.
