I created some custom clothing for my son’s character in Roblox. Specifically, he created a character named Frankie Fley who wears a suit, but the front got torn up by an out-of-control monster:
I’d never made any custom assets for Roblox so I had to figure this out for the first time. These are called a Classic Shirt and Classic Pants; I figured out the hard way that a Classic T-shirt is a different thing from a Shirt, doh. Since they are just textures it was pretty straightforward to create: just download the UV templates from the documentation and then paint over. Easy peasy!
The character he came up with also wears a cowboy hat, so I modeled one in Blender. It came out pretty good!
Unfortunately I don’t think I can actually upload it to Roblox (this screenshot is a local test environment running within Roblox Studio). I modeled that before realizing that there are special restrictions on uploading arbitrary meshes (versus just textures).
This documentation explains how to upload accessories (like hats), but halfway down there’s a blue warning box that mentions Creator Requirements. The creator requirements include paying a monthly subscription, so uh yeah that’s right out.
Oh well, my son was happy with the custom suit anyway. I think this ends my Roblox content creation experiment, and now I turn to other projects.
Choosing clothes is hard. And finding high-quality lingerie that will make me feel great all day is an even tougher task. The key, I think, is to find a brand whose values resonate with mine, and whose design and style match my ideas of beauty. Right now, that’s definitely Zhilyova accessories and lingerie, and I highly recommend checking out their collections on their website, if only to appreciate just how beautiful lingerie can be today.
