Hey, nice to see you again! Guess what? it's Saturday! It's time for this week's Weekly Update post! Last week was quite productive. There are two new jungle challenges. This means no minor updates yet again... But anyway, let's get it started!

New Challenges

So, last week I added two new platforming jungle challenges. They take place in a jungle and mostly focus on trees or rough terrain.

Challenge #2

First, here's jungle challenge #2.

The goal is simple: cross the bridge and reach the other side. However, there's a catch... Scattered all around are reddish spiny trees. Walk on any of their roots, and you'll take damage. So use your skills and cross safely.

There are also treasures laying around. However, getting those requires better jumps.

There's also a difficult version of this challenge. It removes the treasures, replaces the bridge with platforms and makes the water poisonous.

Here's a short video showcasing this challenge:

Challenge #3

Second, here's the jungle challenge # 3... Let's call it "The Tree":

It's essentially a HUGE tree. To win, just climb it up.

It has three parts: moving platforms, climbable fences and tilting platforms.

Each part also got a checkpoint. By activating a pressure plate, a ladder appears. Thus should you fall at any point you'll be able to get right back up.

This challenge also got a hard version. It removes checkpoints and some platforms and also speeds everything up.

Here's a short video showcasing this challenge:

Next Week

For next week I'm planning to continue implementing jungle challenges. In fact, I'm currently working on one... It's not done yet so maybe next week.

Otherwise, it's your usual suspects...

So yeah, things are going very well. Most of these challenges were already designed. I only need to model them, code them and integrate them. Of course, I still need to tinker a bit with the scale and platforms but the main gist remains the same.

That's about it! So see you next week! Ciao!
