Project Updates

  • Orange Chair Software Development - Navyman explains the micro-sim concept of building up Portas Aurora incrementally, piece by piece and details the micro-sims developed so far
  • Retro Grade - superman3275 has made both a Pong and Breakout clone using Pygame, although he has only deemed the Breakout clone suitable to release, along with the source
  • Archipelago - Aph3x decides to remake an old Speccy turn-based game called Chaos. It's been 30 years since the original came out - surely the original creator has moved on? Then again...
  • Pixel ? Tile ? World - Servant of the Lord has reworked his game editor once again and also has some new tree art to start populating his forests in Of Stranger Flames
  • Undead Castle Dev Journal - afliii shares a sermon from in-game character Roman Haas, one of many you can find exploring the town of Ryhart
  • Journal of EDI - EDI is looking for designers to work on Revel Immortal and has also been busy on the game this week, working on a new parametric animation system, explaining why you should atlas in a 2D game, and releasing the latest build of the game.
  • Aurioch's Time Machine - Aurioch has uploaded the current playable version of Battle City and is looking for some feedback. He also dug up and shares a lot of his older projects.
  • DMD 'Ware - polyfrag has been updating on progress to his game editor all week, so check back in his archives for more details
  • Beals Software - Programmer16 has the updates from the past week at Beals Software
  • Once a Bird - Demosthenes latest release, Fold, is now released on the iOS app store
