How would I make something "Unload" In Blitz3d?

I'm trying to make a system in blitz3d that makes levels load like they would in Half Life 1. I know it's possible, I just don't quite know where to start on this one. I don't want the engine rendering many, many, levels and bogging down the performance of the game.

(sorry If this isn't the best post I'm still new here)

I found one other post about this. But the website no longer functions. So I'll ask here.
