Games aren't generally girl repellant. Acting like the stereotypical computer nerd probably is, though.
My last relationship, which lasted for about a year and a half, unfortunately didn't work out, and we broke up around last November. After a year and a half of fairly intense dating I'm enjoying being single for a while. I generally had no time to pursue my own interests during that relationship, so I've been taking this opportunity to "catch back up" by taking summer classes, working, and pursuing whatever interests me. That relationship also drove me to do the very stupid thing of not going to the best school I could get into, so I'm taking this chance to transfer.
How many of you actually have girlfriends/wifes?
Three days ago, my answer would have been yes.

I'm married and the majority of people I work with either are married or dating. Game development crunching may be bad for relationships but being a gamer or being in gamedev isn't.
I of course give the caveat that if you're playing WoW 23 hours a day then you're not going to get laid in RL.

27 yrs old, never had, and it's very improbable that I'll ever have.
I seriously doubt its because I'm a game programmer(if I can call myself that, I'm just amateur) though, it's got to do with my looks and personality. Both not very girl-friendly :P
Glad to see so many gamedevvers have normal and happy love lives though!

My wife plays more games than I do. I bought her a pink DS a couple of years ago for Christmas. I wasn't sure how much use she would get out of it. I don't think a night has gone by that she hasn't played it. If there was, it was on a night she was charging it while using mine. I think I stopped gaming after we hooked up. Just don't have the time for it any more.

I have a wife I've been married to for almost 13 years and I have two daughters. Up until recently my wife could barely launch a spreadsheet let alone play games.
She isn't a gamer and I usually play games when she is sleeping.
I currently don't have a girlfriend though and I blame it completely on my gaming habit and not the fact that I'm married :)

Had a girlfriend up until June 1. Had a wife up until yesterday. Strangely enough, my time spent gaming has gone down to near zero even though I now have all the time in the world to do so.
You either believe that within your society more individuals are good than evil, and that by protecting the freedom of individuals within that society you will end up with a society that is as fair as possible, or you believe that within your society more individuals are evil than good, and that by limiting the freedom of individuals within that society you will end up with a society that is as fair as possible.

Dude, I'm married.
To a girl.
If there's a girl that will put up with me, there's goddamn one that will put up with anyone.
Just put yourself out there.
