Games are not girl repellent - I know many girls that play lots (much more than me ... well recently I play just from curiosty max. 3 to 4 hours a week), and with some of them I'm playing from time to time.

To the question I'm single now ...

Girlfriend of 4 1/2 years. Living together, etc. (What the government calls a "Marriage-like relationship")

Shes somewhat of a gamer. We were actually introduced by mutual gamer acquaintances... Nowdays we probably both game the same amount, but she prefers more casual games like web flash games or the Wii.

Have a girlfriend for 11 years now.

She wasn't a gamer until I bought her a DS, now she hardly has time for me :P

I don't think having "a girlfriend" is a good idea, nor do I want somebody to reduce their concept of me to "my boyfriend." I'd rather that we all just be people.

I've got lots of friends, many of whom are female, some of whom I'm very close to and spend a lot of time with.

Well I would like to point out although there are pleanty of people doing their own thing on this forum not a single women has emerged I guess theres some other girl equivlent forum machine being driven in the world of shopping or some other place concealed from us. I have had more girlfriends than I can count and multiple relationships spanning beyond 2 years at the age of 19 I go to the gym and keep up with fashion and study Computer Science I dont think that being a programmer influences your chances with girls. Im single for the time being with afew potential relationships here and there a girl in france I may get with on my holiday for my second summer fling. Whenever I go out clubbing I usually meet a girl just rarely get to the whole relationship stage I have engaged and divorced friends with kids my age I certainly have got the strangest of things happening around me. Im just waiting to meet the one.

Having game programming as a hobby certainly helps the degree in terms of coding and if you want to make games its a good place to be! You can live the lifestyle of everyone else and still be king of the geek world when it suits you.

I've discussed my solitude lifestyle briefly with my parents, and they were perfectly fine with it (basically no strong reaction whatsoever, though we discussed it for a while). I'm presonally really paranoid about "not letting my parents down", so it took a huge weight off my shoulders to get that out of the way.

No girlfriend or anything that resembles a relationship (if count out prostitutes). The last time I had a girlfriend was 14 years ago so I kinda lost hope. And I feel worse when seeing how all of my friends are either married or plan to get married soon.

We've been together 3 years now..
