Good god people, you think making something like that is going to HELP?
Did I forget to mention this thread is 2 years old? It is. You just dug up a pretty well decomposed corpse.

I''d like to see the person who could develope "shooting skills" by playing Doom. Quake and it''s sequals maybe.
Using those type of guns that you get at arcades & playstations would be the way. SOF II was a nice game, had alot of realism, but the people needed to hsow more pain when you shot them in the leg .

Ol''-School all da way
Where have I been ?
Some game ideas that would really offend people:
(it''s almost physically painfull for me to write these things, so don''t flame me, they''re supposed to be offensive)

1) A killer game where you would gain a certain amount of points for killing blacks, more for gays, more times two for gay blacks, ect... and lose money for killing white folk. Bonus points for first raping women before killing them. Make the hunt integral to the game.

Nazi/Holocaust games:

2) You would have to choose which entrees to a concentration camp to keep and which to kill. How well you do in the game is based on how well your camp runs.

3) You take on the role of a Nazi doctor at a concentration camp and have to successfully perform steralization tests, baby experiments, pain tolerance tests, and the like.

4) Perhaps you could try to find the cheapest combination of chemicals to kill a group of prisoners. It would play like a lemonade stand type game where you saw how many people you had to kill, and you would have to figure out the right combination of arsinac and other chemicles to do the job for the least cost.

5) Hell, a Real Time Strategy game where you run the concentration camps from the ground up. Maybe a Sim City like game.

----

6) You play a lawyer, defending your client in a murder trial. Make the client accused of something really hurrendous (like my spelling ?). You have to make a defense, investigate, do some lawyer like stuff. Through out the course of the game, you find out that your client really did do it. To win the game, you have to get him aquitted. In the process you will ruin the lives of other people, perhaps accusing and prosecuting an inocent person to take the blame. You would have to lie to faces of the victims, ect...

7) You play an executioner. Starting B.C., you perform multiple executions and if you are skillfull enough you move through time until you are performing executions in Spain, by electric chair, gas chamber ect. You are scored on how much the executed suffers. At some point in the game, you will nail Jesus to the cross.

8) A game like Leasure Suit Larry, where you had to lure women back to your home where you would rape and murder them.

9) A game where you actually stole candy from babies would be pretty funny.

Alright, I''m drying up (and if I reached double digits on these ideas, I would question my sanity).

I''d hate to point to Emenem as a cultural leader. But he did the same with his music, and I think people are starting to get the point.

Well I didn''t have a problem with this thread (and still don''t)after reading Jonathan''s first post I have to respond. I haven''t read the other pages yet so I don''t know what else has been posted yet...

Jonathan - As one of Jehovah''s Witnesses I am extremely offended at your idea of killing me!!! Yes, I realize you don''t care what happens to me but that''s not a good reason to advocate the wanton slaughter of myself and the 6 million+ others around the world!!!

Crap didn''t realize the thread was so old. (Speaking to self)"Calm down..." Anyways this reminds me of that game Postal. It came out a while ago but it was basicly just randomly killing people with a variety of weapons, was morbidly fun actually.
You know, our culture is already way too corrupt. Why must we make it more corrupt than it already is? Isn't it bad enough that we all live in fear, denying ourselves of our dignity, of our purpose? I am very much against these so called "click-fest" shoot-em-up type games. There is no point to them, in my opinion. Integrate a storyline at least, i mean common. I do not agree that violent games are the root of all of the violence in the world, but do you really think that they help at ALL? You'd have to be lying through your teeth.

Yes, fuzztrek, I actually DO think a lot of the time they help. WHen I was in grade school, I drew lots of sick pictures of guys getting their heads chopped off very violently, and more, same as all the other boys in class. We are just in general a violent people. Now, with video games, and other non-real fantasy entertainments involving violence, I am able to distance myself from the real thing and get it out of my system. No, it''s not the HEALTHIEST thing in the world, but I can see it as being a semi-good thing for most people. And if they can make it less about mindless killing, and more about story, like say, Deus Ex; or make it a fantasy and have you killing non humans such as in aliens or doom, that''s even better.

I can totally understand your point of view, you obviously don''t have crazy fits of violent thought like much of the world, so it''s hard for you to see why much of us love pretending about it so much. But pretending is better than the real thing.

I also can see how violent games may not be a very good thing for some people. But I don''t believe that it is ever the game (or movie, or book, or music, etc) that causes that person to get violent, or want to actually go out and kill someone in real life. That problem is already there.

I appreciate your crusade to get rid of all violence whatsoever in entertainment, but unfortunately there''s not much you can do about it. People wont stop buying these products, and developers wont stop making them.

There obviously is a line that goes too far, as dymetrix brutaly displayed. But some harmless violence in my opinion can be ok, and depending on the person, a good thing. I''ve felt like getting in fights with people before, and violent games have been a great help to me in getting my aggressions out on a virtual character rather than the real person.
