Vertex/Face normals in .3DS file ???
Hi there,
I have looked over all the .3ds file format information I''ve got, but cannot find anything on chunks that stores the vertex, and face normals. It must be in there some where, does anyone know the what chunk stores this data?
When you export a model to a .ASE file, you''ll see that both the vertex, and face normals are defined. So where''s it in a .3DS file??
ps, I know it''s not terriably hard to manually calculate the normals, but it''ll be dumb to do it if this data is already there.

You have to calculate them yourself, a 3DS file contains no such information.
