This week I've begun taking stock of our moderator population. We have three main types of active moderators:
- Senior Mods: These guys have been around pretty much since the site's creation, or just practically live here in the forums. They keep watch over the entire community, sign off on bans, etc.
- Roving Mods: These mods have open ranges across the forums, dipping in and out to catch things regular forum moderators don't when they aren't around.
- Forum Mods: Assigned to a specific forum, these mods can also have roaming privileges, however they're mainly the point of contact for forum users should they have issues with a particular forum or topic covered by that forum
In other news...
Not much else to report really, although tomorrow night I'm going to buckle down and try to bang out at least two more audio excerpts from the GDNet Collection books. GDC planning is still in the works as well - can't believe it's less than 2 weeks away already. Time just seems to accelerate the closer it gets.
Anyone visit the Facebook page at all every now and again? They've updated it to be more like a regular user's page so if there's anything that puts you off about the new layout let me know - if I can change it I will.
