So I asked last week for people to give me their status reports on GDNet. Two comments reveals one or several of the following:
- No one reads this
- You're all happy
- You didn't get what I was asking
- The site ate your responses
Anyways at least it makes it easy for me to respond!
@alfith: Rock on man, good luck with your game. I'm glad everyone's enjoying the Dailies and Weekend Reading
@Avatar God: Yea you know I'll be honest - I have no clue what happened with 4E6. I've stayed away from judging any GDNet contest until now but since I've been one of the judges for the Game Institute's regular Student Challenges for a year, I decided to give 4E6 a go. I think I got about 75% of the games judged so far but no one else seemed to be doing anything so I kind of wound down and focused on other GDNet stuff. Hopefully John or Richard can speak up on this.
Sorry the rest of the staff hasn't been so outspoken of late. The Rhino likes to swing by and say hey every now and then but these days its mainly myself, Richard, Seyi, John and Lissa who are around and making sure the site is functioning. Dave gets to sit in his big chair and boss us around from on high [smile] Richard should be around more often once he settles into his new pad.
@everyone else: Keep the status reports coming!
New resources

Well, in my case, I don't get to read my blogs (let alone write them!) as often as I would like. To much stuff to do. So I tend to glomp everything together till I get some free time to go through my emails, RSS feeds, forum posts, etc. As such I didn't see your RFC until......a few minutes before this is posted.
A status update though? Hmm...
1. I tend to read your journal via RSS, so commenting (or even VIEWING comments) requires additional actions, which aren't one of my favorite things to do, since on my iPhone that typically means launching Safari (which is a piece of shit).
2. I've noticed a general increase in the number of times I've encountered downtimes on the site... perhaps we've been letting superpig slack off too much. More whip, less sugar. [grin]
3. The journal system still has all of my previous gripes, and several more to boot! [flame]
4. My happiness is directly proportional to the amount of sleep I get.
