We are proud to announce the release of Matali Physics 5.5 a crucial change in the development of Matali Physics engine and a significant step on the road to the sixth main version. As of version 5.5, Matali Physics becomes an advanced 3d physics environment, and the physics engine developed so far, renamed to Matali Physics Core becomes the "heart" of the new environment. Matali Physics brand now means the entire physics environment, not just the physics engine. The introduced change preserves and strengthens the previous modular formula of our solution, extends its applications as well as brings to life our idea of a "fully dynamic scene".

Version 5.5 introduces:

  • Support for Android TV 9.0 Pie and higher. The latest version of Matali Physics allows users to create advanced, physics-based, Vulkan-based, high-performance games for Android TV-based devices (e.g. Nvidia Shield);
  • Significant changes in Matali Game module and in the environment demo. The updated demo presents physics scenes with advanced destruction modeling, advanced vehicle controllers, advanced character controllers, natural constraints working under stress, etc.;
  • Other improvements and fixes, a detailed list of which is available on the History webpage.

What is Matali Physics?

Matali Physics is an advanced, modern, multi-platform, high-performance 3d physics environment intended for games, VR, AR, physics-based simulations and robotics. Matali Physics consists of the advanced 3d physics engine Matali Physics Core and other physics-driven modules that all together provide comprehensive simulation of physical phenomena and physics-based modeling of both real and imaginary objects.

The engine is available across multiple platforms:

  • Android
  • Android TV
  • *BSD
  • iOS
  • iPadOS
  • Linux
  • macOS
  • SteamOS
  • tvOS
  • UWP (Desktop, Xbox One)
  • Windows

Main benefits of using Matali Physics:

  • Stable, high-performance solution transforming physics simulation, graphics and sound into an amazing experience in your games
  • Dedicated modules that do not require additional licences and fees
  • New features on request
  • Dedicated technical support
  • Regular updates and fixes

The water still looks bad when something moves in it and also they don't show any destructible stuff. So currently I see nothing spectacular about this product.

@trsh Hi, thanks for your time spent watching Matali Physics in action. We value praise, but critical comments bring us to earth and motivate to constantly improve quality. If you have thoughts about what still should be improved or added, please comment

@komires 1) Water interaction physics (from shadowed jelly to more water like), 2) Show off destructible capabilities if any are implemented (a demo where one can hammer down a building peace by peace). It needs to stand out some-have. The current demos I can re-create in Unity or Uningine.
