Ok. I installed allegro, I installed the direct x sdk. I added the paths for the header and library files. I opened one of the example programs (the hello world one), I added alleg.lib to the project, and it gives me "unresolved external symbol _main" I haven''t changed the code at all... so, did I forget to do something?

I would swear at you if this weren''t your first day here. Take a hint though: use the forum search. The question you just asked has been asked and answered literally hundreds of times. Start here.
