Turning speed

How would I go about enforcing a turning speed? ie. if I have a current velocity and an acceleration that about to be performed, how would I go about decreasing the acceleration vector''s non forward ( not aligned with velocity ) components? [ Or does this question even make sense? ] Zab.
Your question almost makes sense. Perhaps you could clarify with a description of the situation you are looking to simulate?

Erm.. Are you talking about centripetal acceleration? Circular motion, that sorta thing?
