I have a few game ideas that i think are good, but i would like a second opinion: A: An updated version of SimAnt, in 3D with more fighting, less dying. B: A board game where you have to be the first to climb the mountain. C: A 3D shooter where your brother has become a traitor to the U.S and revealed information to Afghanistan. You have to undo the damage and shoot your brother and his army.
I tried to code, but the compiler kept giving me an error: stupid coder alert.hpotter2
You don''t get along with your brother, do you?

ROFL!
I said brother because it will cause more emotion in the player than friend.

You may want to complicate the story a little more than that, though, it might teach a bad moral

That''s more for the kids-do-as-the-games-they-play activists.
It's not what you're taught, it's what you learn.
Ok. I''ll think of some sort of plot twist.

anyone know if their has been a version of scorched earth in 3d?

i''ve thought about scorched earth in 3d before. i think it''d focus too much on camera control for the player. they wouldn''t enjoy as much the buying of weapons and mass destruction. i think that is a perfect case where 2d is better for the game. really, throwing a 3rd axis in there does nothing for gameplay. the weapons destroy everything already... you''d only be making it a little harder with a few other weapons... and besides, with a movable camera, it''d be really easy to line up shots on one axis... making it a 2d game again.
A: like it, but include some sort of large group strategy - controlling hundreds of ants to carry out a coordinated attack is much more interesting than crawling around alone.

B: board game? elaborate please.

C: definitely not, it might gain you a lot of publicity, but imo riding the patriotism train is never a good thing. besides, such things are already out (the scores of "shoot the taliban" FPS minimods), so you´d be in exceedingly bad company. If you make a shooter, make it fictional, if it´s good it will survive without cheap publicity. Also, a lot of people might be put off by the black/white image (yes, storytwist, very important) you´re presenting, plus the whole afghanistan thing will be old by the time the game is finished.
How dare u hase!
