Speaking of 2D RPG, what yould you prefer? 1) An anime-sytle looking RPG, like the old SNES Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, with light tiles, cartoon type, or 2) A darker, more realistic RPG, like SNES Tales of Phantasia and Bahamut Lagoon, with darker tiles? I think that posting this poll in six different forums is more than sufficient ...

I prefer a mixture of both (ie. Final Fantasy 7). It has the less realistic characters, but the overall themes and mood are very dark.

They both have their appeals... but honestly it''s not the setting, it''s the story that makes me interested in most of those games.

Mostly 2 but there can be lighter areas. Doesn''t have to be all dungeons and evil places, if that''s what you meant.

i agree with solinear. story wins the day always for me.
