Ho-humm...
if you want all the female programmers crying outrage and bashing you to hell thats the way to go about it =)

Anyway I''m a guy and I say like all the time, as do many people I know, both male and female... apart from that I plan on sometime doing an rpg...

J2xC
J2xC (J. Connolly) Ah! By popular demand, I shall no longer resist...
TradeWars!!! Wow, I think I still have that game somewhere. Somebody needs to make a www tradewars game. That game ruled. Bring back OOII and BRE/SRE, too!
Not mentioning any names here, but someone *wink wink* needs to get a life and stop acting so immature!

My life''s goal is to make a full, 30+ hour RPG with SNES quality graphics...

You probably should stop putting the thing at the bottom of your damn posts, its annoying and besides its just really stupid. Believe me, you dont want to piss of the legions of female programmers out there.

Ok, I believe the original post was a question about who was making an RPG, not whether phorsak was mature or immature. So, rather than arguing, could someone please answer the original post? I myself would like to see who is working on an RPG.

I am...

I''m working on what I''m dubbing my "Motivation AI" system. Basically, for NPC''s, I''m going to take their motivations (ie money, fame, heroics, evil, etc) and allow them to "think" on their own in pursuit of these motivations -- they can also align with like thinkers in the world. This should allow for a really complex and rich world where every adventure won''t happen exactly like you expect (and should make replayability of the game even more interesting) while keeping some of the scripted elements in, as well.

I''m trying to keep much of the detail hush-hush while I work on it, but it should be interesting, to say the least (especially if I can get it to work )

wow crouilla (sp?), that''s a really great idea. I''ve been thinking of ways to create more life-like towns and NPCs too... let us know when you have some kind of demo or something, i''d be really interested to see it.

Phorsak:
I''m working on an iso graphics engine right now (who isn''t? ;-) and i''m hoping to use it in an RPG sometime in my life.

In the interest of keeping this forum relatively mature, I''m deleting everything in this topic relating to Phorak''s sig, and I''m deleting all instances of his sig in my forum, until I get sick of doing that and just start deleting his posts entirely. There''s no good reason to insult someone else''s gender or anything else about them.
This being a valid questions (the RPG part) I''m going to leave it, with a little editing.
