I am a coder looking to make some test art for a 3D project, I have had a look at GMax seems really nice but no export options or options to save as a mesh for importing into OpenGL. Is there a workaround for this? Or any other decent free 3d modeling packages out there? As I said I am a coder looking to make test art so I won''t need any animation, redering or other advance features.... Cheers, Convict@Large "I code therefore I am" Anon

If you download the Tempest plugin from the gmax web site you''ll be able to export to Quake 3''s .md3 file format. If you look around on the web you can find code to load .md3 files into OpenGL.

I allready downloaded it but when I read the install guide it only seemed to mention level editing so I did not bother installing it. But I will give it a try now...
