The only prior programming experience I ever had was HTML... but, can you really call that a programming language? I mean, it''s freakin'' easy and it doesn''t really have anything of anything... anyways, thought I''d say that. other than HTML, C++ is my first programming language! :-)

I think HTML would be called a scripting language. It doesn''t even have real variables or flow control.
