I have been working on a Survival Based Wizard game set in the underworld. I was hoping for some advice on how to go about selling my game to a publisher?

That's a business question, not a game design question. Moved to the Business And Law forum. You should scan that forum to read other threads on the same question. Also:
This article I wrote a long time ago might give you some hints about the difficulty you face, if you're talking digital game. This other one talks about board game publishing. You didn't say which, so.

@Tom Sloper Thanks for moving this to the correct area. I had another question that was meant for the game design area. I guess got them confused. I did mean a digital game but making a board game version would also be fun. The article you wrote was very informative. Thank you very much.
None
[edit] Okay, possibly-forum-related mangling of the post fixed, I believe. (With some miscellaneous tweaking, too.) [/edit]
One thing that might be worth mentioning here is that--if I'm not much mistaken, and I do stand to be corrected--Tom Sloper's article above was written with AAA publishers in mind--the likes of EA, Ubisoft, etc.
Indie publishers are a different matter. For some information towards submitting to such, perhaps look at the following articles:
