Hello everyone,
In my class this week we are talking about promoting our game. I am looking for some of the "best" ways to sell the idea for my prototype and proof of concept. I would have a hard enough time trying to approach a company to pitch them my game, but if I were able to take that step I would want to be prepared with all my information to present, but I am wondering if there are certain key points that a company may want to hear about when someone tries to sell the game to the company. I almost feel like not having an actual game designed for them to see makes it harder, but I feel you need to start somewhere with the right ideas or points in mind. So some of my questions are:
- Is their any advice you could give on how to approach a company about pitching my ideas
- What, if any, are some of the key points a company may be looking for when receiving these ideas
- Are there any advantages to crowdsourcing my ideas?
- Are there any disadvantages to crowdsourcng?
Thank you for taking the time to read and respond,
-Morge
