So, today I was "researching" cancer and I found something most fascinating. As I was reading. I saw the word "hedgehog." Soon after I found the word "sonic." At this point, I figured someone was trolling the medical-research site. At this point, I had to go to wiki. What do I find? An article on the Sonic hedgehog protein. Curious about the origin, I found this titillating tidbit:
The name was devised by Dr. Robert Riddle, who was a postdoctoral fellow at the Tabin Lab, after he saw a Sonic comic his daughter had brought from England.
But wait, there's more. Turns out that there is an inhibitor for this protein called "Robotnikinin."

This discovery made my day.
So, do you know any similar links between games and medicine?
