if I want it to be popular, I have to appeal to the mass opinion

IMHO, that's the decision. If your goal is to sell something (either morally or monetarily), make something people will buy (or will be allowed to buy by their parents, their spouse or their government). If so, put your race, color, and creed aside - unless you also want to be able to point to it and say "That's my work." If you put your name on it, another part of "mass opinion" (whether it's true or not) will be that your product is a reflection of you.

Please don't PM me with questions. Post them in the forums for everyone's benefit, and I can embarrass myself publicly.

You don't forget how to play when you grow old; you grow old when you forget how to play.

I think the latest Bioshock was a little preachy myself. Making all sorts of forward and subliminal statements that I would have liked to debunk. They have mass appeal and therefore a platform on which to share their thoughts. I see it in quite a few games though.

They call me the Tutorial Doctor.
