wow, that was an interesting post. from all the girls the yakuza one seems the right choice, BUT as a person that hates crimes and anything related to it, i will tell you that you made the right choice to break with her. and if you don't like something in a girl, just move on. the "chosen one" will come eventually.

WTF? Choosing a yakuza girl is the right choice? Are you fucking serious, people?

One day, you will wake up with the girl's head in your bed, or your head in someone else's bed, or whatever. Unless you are one tough ugly motherfucker, stay away from the big guys.

obviously you didn't read the whole post or didn't make myself clear*.

I guess I wasn't clear either. Or maybe I'm just a coward, but I wouldn't want any kind of relation (like a father-in-law, or a godfather) with a mafia member. I don't want my girl to be taken or killed, just because she's the daughter of somebody. Or me being killed or castrated just because I want to disunite with the woman. Or interrogated or grilled or whatever.

So it doesn't have to to anything with morals, I'm just a plain cheepshit who doesn't want to get into trouble unless it's unavoidable. And I'm not sure if any chosen relationship would be worth living in stress.

Just out of curiosity what do people want in a relationship and why do they need this? A question to everyone, hopefully OP wont mind me asking here smile.png

Asked my girlfriend that is studying veterinary uni - got simple reply: Each animal has to breed (to duplicate its genetic code in next generation, possibly better adapt to conditions and evolve), so each animal is seeking a partner of opposite sex to breed. It is as simple as this. Humans are no exception. And I also got comment on how children are so ugly and kittens are so beautiful, epic and godlike.

What about the people who are in relationships and don't want kids? Or the ones that didn't even want a relationship and happily stuck to their work / ambitions until they died?

Sorry but I think having kids is the worst excuse ever for being in a relationship :D it is almost as bad as those who say "being in a relationship is great because you then only have to pay half of the bills"

Im my opinion, normal relationships just happen. There is no needing or wanting in general towards relationships, only towards a particular person, if there's any.

I guess I can work with this, but somehow I doubt that is why most people are in a relationship

By normal I didn't mean statistically normal, but in the way we usually use it with the word "people".

I don't get most people, they need, go into and get out of relationships like I do it with jobs or apartments. My first (the current one) relationship started when I was 26, and I never felt like I need a relationship before. And I didn't feel I want something form my current relationship, apart from existing.

I get the 'Sorry you are dying' look when I tell people im single at 28, so tiring hearing "oh don't worry you will find someone", I am like "well, I don't really care for relationships or have any actual need for one". It is almost like an illness being single at my age, I thought this was a Brit thing only at one point but I get the same crap in neighbouring countries too.

What really bugged me growing up was there was always a divide, couples on one side singles on the other and now there is a new group, parents, you would only get invited to certain events based on your relationship status. Personally I have no problem being single all my life and I wouldn't go looking either, if it happens it happens, if not well it wasn't one of my goals anyway

Well, I don't really have an opinion on the matter, just wanted to point out that you just have made public a photo of a Yakuza's boss granddaughter, complete with the story of her grandfather being a Yakuza boss :)

I'm...not really sure what the Yakuza's policy is in such matters....just sayin' :P

I don't know about Japan, but in our country if someone from police found the post (I presume Yakuza is illegal organization in Japan, that is hunted by police) - the girl on the picture (and possible her family) might have serious troubles with investigators ... and I don't think Yakuza would be happy with police sneaking around.

I just stated what my girlfriend said (she didn't really say exactly how I translated it and I don't know whether it sound the same way as I really meant). Anyways, I'd also note that she doesn't really want kids in near future (neither do I).

On one side I agree with opinion that kids can't select their parents (you can't select whether you father is mafia member, university teacher, farmer or dark lord); but on other I totally agree with you or L. Spiro - I wouldn't ever want to be with mafia members. The first reason why is what szecs stated - I don't want to end up with my head and body separated over the bed of my girlfriend/wife. The second reason is that I was grown as a man respecting law (and possibly changing it through any possible ways), I couldn't live in a house with some sort of criminal (I don't mean criminal like "her father illegally download movies", but being high rank in organization that is most likely behind murders, ransom, etc. is considered hard criminal in my opinion).

I think it's typically well known who is in illegal organizations. The challenge is catching them doing something illegal.
