Whats up! I'm a hobby musician. I've been writing quiet a bit of music over the last few years, partly for practice and partly just for fun. I'm sharing my songs under the share-alike non-commercial creative commons license. Its sort of my way of giving back to the wonderful online community of hobby programmers and artists. Though I've been recording for a couple of years now I still consider myself a beginner because the world of sound engineering, mixing, and composing is just so vast and I still have so much to learn, so any constructive criticisms or pointers are welcome.
I love experimenting with new styles and themes, so you'll hear a lot of variety in my stuff. Here are a few pieces I've done.
Utopia - My newest piece. Really tropical sounding.
Drilling the Surface - Industrial rock
Black and White - Spaced out mystical sounding electronic piece
River Cycles - Ambient acoustic guitar
Pixel Puzzles - Electronic / chip tunes
Shades of Green - Mellow electronic piece with electric guitar solo
Circus in the Sky - Carnival themed electronic piece with electric guitars
At Sea - Really mellow and minimalist chip tunes style song
The Heat Wave Machine - Industrial rock with a middle eastern theme
Castle Peak - Mellow electronic piece
Ivy - Experimental post-rock inspired piece
Digital Waltz - Minimalist and ambient electronic piece
Ghosts - Industrial
Sky Blue - Up beat electronic piece with catchy guitar riffs
Silver - Laid back and somewhat eerie electric guitar piece
Paintings of War - Indian themed with a heavy rock build up at the end
Summer - Extremely cheesy electronic pop piece

Just to let you know when I tried to click on your website, my WOT toolbar thing said your site wasn't safe. I clicked on the youtube link.
I really like the sound of Circus in the Sky and River cycles. I love the rock feel too. So far, Spinning Rocks and Oneironaut are my favorites. I'm big fan of melodies and I really liked the melodies in those. Utopia has a really nice sound to it. I liked that one for it's laid-back coolness.
I could see some of your music in something like FFVII: Crisis Core. A game like that where rock elements in the soundtrack are enjoyed.

Well that's weird. Never heard of the WOT toolbar so I looked it up. Not sure why it would think my site is unsafe. Other than the hit counter it just uses standard html. Maybe it has something to do with Leadhoster? Dunno. I'll look into it. Thanks for letting me know!
[Edit] Didn't find out what exactly WOT thinks is unsafe about my site, but I did find this article from a webmaster that's having the same problem. His problem is with banner ads though, which Leadhoster doesn't use. Just seems to me that WOT is pretty sensitive when it comes to flagging a website as unsafe.

Thank you for taking the time to listen and give me feedback. Its really encouraging. I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Never played Crisis Core and I'm not familiar with it's composer, Takeharu Ishimoto. I can list Nobou Uematsu (the well known composer for other FF games) as a big inspiration though, atleast as far as the soundtrack artist in me goes. I'll have to give Mr. Ishimoto's work a listen when I get some time. Again, thanks!
[Edit] Listened to some of Takeharu Ishimoto's work today. Sounds pretty good.

Wot probably is extra sensitive, and I don't know how to program it right lol.
You welcome. I've never played Crisis Core either but I've heard some of the music from the game. Nobou Uematsu is a big inspiration to me too. I could listen to his compositions for hours and never get tired of hearing them. The same goes for Yoko Shimomura. I love some of her work as well.

Not really my favorite type of music... and even then I really enjoyed these pieces. Some of them reminded me of a softer, more chill version of Hans Zimmer's works. I liked Circus in the Sky and Sky Blue a lot. If there was any criticism to be given, I'd suggest to try different genres and sounds in your pieces. They all inspired the same kind of feeling so after a while I didn't feel like listening to more of your pieces... and you had a lot.
