I've seen really smart guys doing really well - then they get a really hot girlfriend and its like they've just discovered World of Warcraft.

Dude. Doing a hot girl is a whole career in itself. Give those guys a rest fgs! Besides, what kind of young guy in it's own mind would want to hang around with some nerd male friend if the alternative is, you know, wettin' the trout...

Having 32 myself, and after having ran quite a few races I've come to a point where I take girls as I take my aspirins: Only when my head hurts.

I wouldn't say they're "hot". One of my friends is actually dating my step-sister at the moment. He gets to go home and see my family more than I get to. :|
I'm that imaginary number in the parabola of life.

Another example. I'm in college and live in a dorm a little less than half a mile away from their dorms. I walk to their dorm just about everyday just to see them. But sometimes I want them to come over to my place and hang out with me but they'll complain it's too far away.

No offense meant, but don't be that guy. I mean I'd see a lot of my friends most days, but let it just happen. It's very taxing when people force relationships of any kind and does more harm than good.

I kind of get the feeling you are slightly over reacting too. Get some other friends. Join a club. Do something with other people. You'll probably find that you'll have enough friends to hang out with every day without having to hang out with the same people all the time, and it will probably benefit ALL your relationships. You'll probably be surprised how much more excited they are to see you when you aren't invading their personal space every day.

You're probably right actually. I just get bored and I enjoy hanging out with them because they are usually always up to something.

I'll take this advice and see where it goes.

You don't have to. Just bring your own weed every once in a while and stop smoking up theirs. They will appreciate it.

Well, for those who care about it, Jesus was born that way..

Note: Meaning the parents not looking up for it. Not promiscuity.

Sometimes yes, but usually they're really great!

Even computer science students don't write single line of code except school projects and exams.

That part annoys me. It's surprising how many students (even my coworkers who are juniors or seniors in their CS or CIS degrees) have no interest in programming outside of their degree. I showed my CS coworker a multiplayer game I made in the browser and instead of being like "cool how does it work", like an old CS graduate I knew, he was like "I bet that was hard" and goes back to facebook. :(

...and then complain when they can't find jobs!

Yup, that's a very good point.
