A guy nick named "Diesel" who is a 30-40 year old man at work punched me in the gut twice after I called him a "fatty" and now I have a bruise... I told my supervisor, she ignored me then I saw the bruise and told her if she didn't report it I was going to call corporate HR. She told some other supervisors and they said "Well it's your fault for calling him a fatty." This is not the first time something like this happened, same guy also hit me before for absolutely no reason, some guy poured rotten stuff in my water bottle, another guy attacked me because I dropped an envelope from up high and it hit him in the face, he grabbed my shoulder from behind while I was clocking out and started crushing it. Same guy hit me in the head with a box a week or two before while a supervisor was watching...

Not to be insensitive to your predicament or anything, but what the hell do you expect to accomplish by talking about this to a bunch of strangers on a game development site? Talk to someone high up at your workplace, or get the police involved.

Also, make sure that you're not being a dick and that you actually don't deserve the treatment you're getting.

) You`re probably not that much into shape either. Attend a karate course or at least work out from time to time. That will probably deter/make someone think twice before attacking you

So what? I can attack him back... I don't think that would be the best idea in this situation...

Be more sensitive to other people. It sounds like alot of the attacks (although completely over the top) were justified in the minds of the attacker. If these things were completely unprovoked, out of the blue, i'd be taking it to the highest management i could. If that fails i'd hand my resignation, find another job and break the guys nose on the way out :D.

Well not sure about the last bit but it would be fun.

Um yeah, this is called assault and it's illegal. If you don't want it to happen and your supervisors aren't doing anything about it, you call the police. I don't really know what other kind of advice you're looking for, other than to not intentionally antagonize coworkers? Everything here is pretty common sense.

btw If you havent seen it I recommend the comedy 'in bruges'

A similar situation occurs
Go talk to someone higher up in your workplace, get the police involved, or check to see if there is an organisation in your area who deals with this sort of thing.

...and don't call people "fatty" or otherwise insult them at your workplace - it's a good way to make sure coworkers dislike (which may lead them to do things like hitting you), and there's a decent chance it may actually be illegal and/or a violation of the terms of your employment; he could also have grounds for an (admittedly pretty petty) civil case against you were he so inclined.

I`d say his reaction is almost legitimate if you`re not that much into physical shape and you`re calling him a fatty. Calling someone fatty is psychological harassment if that person is indeed overweight.
