What leve? Kinda rpgish question . I''m probably level 1 because I''m still using Allegro (I''m sure some experts use it too). I have made functions for drawing a line between any two points and drawing a circle with a certain radius. So guess that makes me an itsy bit of level 2. I''ve also made a rotating cube (unable to check which polygon should be drawn and which shouldn''t though, also I don''t understand matrices yet...) so I''m getting there...

I''m making a game with Allegro atm, which keeps me from advancing to windows programming, advanced drawing techniques and 3d. Maby when I''ll finish it I''ll open that Andre Lamonthes DirectX book, unless I''ll start another game. Allegro is so easy that you don''t want to change it...

Btw now that DirectX 8 is out, is there any point learning DirectX 7 anymore, will I be able to adapt to DirectX 8 from DX7 quickly?

I''m probably level 3/4 in skill terms, but I can''t be arsed actually making a game (other than shitty tetris), so on you rating I guess I''m a 1

I''m at Level -3.
(The index of my C book is hanging on by a thread.)
I don''t have any games and far too many in-progress projects.
I taught myself everything except Basic, but I will be getting
better because it turns out I have to have a technology course
in my first two years, and the options were between Introduction
to Computers, lol, similar courses, and CSC 134(C++ programming).
So perhaps my style won''t be so rough as time goes by.

Create.
Level 0 - Haven''t even finished my C++ book yet. Started programming for about a week now. I''ve had these books for about a year though.
