I've implemented a small demo of the marching squares algorithm and while reading through the internet i discovered that there is also a so called adaptive variant of the algorithm. How does adaptive marching squares work, are there any books that talk about this and the marching cubes algorithm?

Hey, thanks, that's very cool. Can you point me to somewhere where i can get the triangle information (or to some source code that generates it) for each of the 14 worthy cases used by the marching cubes algorithm?
