i'm a scenery artist mostly so i'm looking for a 3D modeling program so i can do mostly scenery but is also good for making 3D models of people aswell. anyone know a good program for me? something either free or cheap works well :P

Have you tried Blender?
It seems to be the most popular free one around.

blender is free and powerful but notoriously hard to learn
