2d objects and panda3d?
Sup, my friend and I want to make a 2D side scrolling platformer shooter (think metal slug, megaman x), and we decided to use Panda3d for its simplicity. But the problem is, I can't find anything on the manual about sprite, or sprite animation. It can only do 3d models apparently. We are much more comfortable with pixel art. Is there a way we can make a image on paint, import it to blender (or wings3d), and just use that as a paper thin model? And then just animate it from there? if not, what else could we do to where there is minimum modelling?
thanks

2D Skeletal Animation.
Given your examples i'm curious as to why you'd consider using 3D software. Generally 2D games (like your examples) use traditional frame by frame animation, and don't have any 3D coding at all.
