2D Concept-Artist for hire/rent/abuse
Hello~
First and foremost I am a concept-artist. I do characters, machinery and environmental designs. I'm not a fan of pixle art, and I'm not very big on doing backdrops in topdown/zeldastyle games. I'm mainly on the lookout for either payed work, or contributing to smaller indie projects that deal with 3D. If your project falls outside these boundaries, don't hesitate to send a mail to the address specified at my site -- It might be a project that piques my interest.

It seems to be working now. I even tried going to http://www.rushlyngton.com/Gallery from google and it still died, but it's up again now so maybe the host just had a crap out for a while.
As far as the work on your site (I know your not asking for this, but here is my opinion anyway since people will be contacting you for work):
#1 new: what? Looks like a nice Photoshop filter I guess.
#1 old: erm....ok? Seems very low quality.
#2: erm....ok? Not what a skull or skeleton looks like, but stands out nicely from the blue background. Looks like it was done with a Wacom tablet, so I think it's fairly well done (in a non-accurate way).
#3: Pretty nice rendering. Very obvious high and low points. Simple structure, but good painting. Thumbs up from me.
4#: No proportion, probably style, face looks good.
#5: Looking REALLY GOOD, although the pic is way too small. If part of a larger picture (see bunny eater over at CGtalk.com since it is a similar picture) this could be a great piece. At the moment though it shows no perspective, very limited lighting and low environment. The pic needs to be at least 800*600.
#6: erm....ok? This is just MS paint crap (sorry, probably a bit harsh, but if this it part of your portfolio or the work output you expect to give to people it's nowhere near the level it should be, sorry...)
#7: NOW we're getting to the good stuff. Not much detail, but I love the sense of scale. You followed the first rule of concept art and put a human in for scale. Really like this one (fire is nice)
#8: Again, very simplistic. Not concept art by any stretch (Concept art is the art form that gives character impressions, personality, an idea of who they are, and a clear idea of what they do at an instant glance. THIS is illustration, not concept art, and is more along the lines of something you would see for a poster for a music festival).
#9: More along the lines of concept art (shows character, who they are etc.) but is very simplistically painted. Proportions are very good though, in that the character is 8 heads high and I give your credit for that. It's a very random pic though, and I can't imagine anyone needing a bearded tootoo wearing man for a game.

Ok, so lots of feedback here you didn't really ask for (but I gave you the critique anyway because you are putting yourself into the position of being hired, therefore your skills are on critique), but it seems like you are jumping the gun way to early. Head over to: Conceptart.org and start joining in on the Character of the week and Creature of the week competitions (I've been joining in for a few months now), and I tells ya', they will teach you a LOT. You are not doing too bad, but the thing you have to remember is that while you can draw some simplistic people (again, #7 is working out well), when the client says they need a guts harvester in 2 days fully rendered and professional looking, you need to be able to whip something out based on 1 sentence of description that beats every other submission they have received. I'm about to start my concept art/animation course, and I don't think I will be ready for another 2 years before I offer my services to GDnet. While you might be able to do some basic pictures, you need to ask yourself, Can you do everything the client asks in a few days as your skills are now?
Good luck in the future, and I look forward to seeing your work.

I feel like I've seen that homepage before, but your name doesn't ring any bells, besides nordic ethnicity :P
Anyways, as of 15 Oct. 2007, your website only shows a blank page with "fu" written in the corner...
Anyways, you can always have a look at our recruiting thread for Radakan. We're always on the lookout for art-contributers willing to bring our many descriptions to life.
