I'm interested by your opinion of this short track :) Magic Tree (mp3, 618Kb, 00.39min) Thanks! Alexander Falinski Clean Ice Music

I don't know anything about music, but I think it would go quite nicely as ambient or background music! For the sake of games, maybe you should make it longer or repeat-able.

Thank you :)

This track not for certain project. I saw a picture about huge magic tree in my imagination and attempted to show it in music :)
Therefore I will leave it as is.

Yes, I remember this track. It's good as well as all of music from a Heroes III.

Thank you :)

Ok... Perhaps I really need to finish it :)
I have a lot of work now. Possibly in two or three weeks I will be able to complete it.

good work :)

What program did you use to make this track?
Sate,

You've started something very nice and pleasing to listen to. Your samples have a nice quality and your orchestration (something many people over look) is good for this style of music.

I think adding some nice boys choir to float above the texture, and expanding some of the ideas more would leave you with a great track. I'd also consider playing around with the tempo some to give the impression of a live performance instead of everything being so metered (like a computer playing it). Also the flutes around 16-18 and around 31 seconds marks don't sound as real as they could. Perhaps you could tweak the samples or blend then in with other flute samples (if you have them) to make the flute sounds more realistic. It isn't bad when the flutes are more within the texture of the rest of the ensemble, but at the exposed sections an experienced ear can tell they're sampled. That is being extremely picky though. Great stuff!!

I'm also interested in what programs and samples were used to create this track. I use Sonar 6 Producer with various East West VSTi plugins.

Good stuff man!

Great start, but yes it does need to be finished. It left me hanging at the end.
