I always need more models :D. A small mosque, a petrol station and maby some shops would be cool :)

I skinned one of the buildings:

I can send you the skinned version. Which modeling software do you use?

I'm using 3D Studio Max 7.0.

I'll start modeling other stuff you need tomorrow.

I don't need the textures or models but it would be awesome if you uploaded them here for other people to use too :D

Hopefully this thread might turn into a good resource for many indie teams in a year :)

I hope. This is a good think you are emerging here.
Cool, could you save the new models in .max aswell? When i imported the .obj into max the smoothing groups were all messed up. That wasn't a problem for the buildings, because they don't need smoothing, but it would be important for a mosque with round towers.

Here's the other building:

*AoM Ghost, can you put them here when you texture them? I didn't add any screenshots because it would be better if you put them with textures :)

have fun :D

looks good. although if i amy i'd like to offer suggestions, afterall you're doign this for the expereince right?
one important thing with nearly all building models is triming. triming is like a lining alogn the ground or walls. add triming everywhere you can, it really helps with the transition from one wall to the next with both the geometry and helps breakup the texture a bit.
now while it is usually in bad taste to post a link to one of my models in your thread i'm going to, but please don't take it that way, its meant purely as an example:
building pic
that shows the importance of triming, just imagine how odd ti would look without it.
though your model was made for rts spec so i wouldn't expect polygon triming, but atleast some triming made in the texture, it would help quite a bit i think.

Jarrod1937 - Thanks for the example :) As you said since they are for an rts game, trimming isn't much important but you are absolutely right and it's a great exapmle you are sharing with us. Can you also share a wireframe render?

Thanks :)
can you draw some tires or also parts of car...
...
also if you waiting to do somthings...
i hawe soo much codes which are waiting to check and write again and again...

"As you said since they are for an rts game, trimming isn't much important"
actually i said since it is for an rts game triming using geometry isn't important (due to poly limits), but it can still be done through the diffuse texture and it should be done as trimming is important with nearly all building designs to an extent.
"Can you also share a wireframe render"
sure, front wireframe, right there is a wireview from the front. what you see is the highest poly version we'll have available in our game. our lead programmer is doing a system where i make about 3 to 4 different level of detail poly versions and the players gpu gen is read (the speed of the card and its generation) and then the game will select the best lod version to use.
