Hey all, I have often thought of marketing my game on a site like Download.com, and selling it for like 5 bucks or something (lord knows i need the money). My friend made me a theme song in garageBand from a Mac, and I was wondering if that would be legal to use, or if I would have to pay royalties to Apple? Anyone know? Thanks a bunch --Nathan

Most programs allow for people to use their software to sell music. You'll need to check with Apple or read the license agreement to be sure.

What is not legal is reselling the patches or sounds that come with Garageband alone. If you're making your own original piece with the software, then it shouldn't be a problem.

I've not used Garageband, so I can't speak with authority but I've used many other programs.
