Quote: Original post by stennyThanks! I am a big fan of Hitoshi Sakimoto's work and he's a huge influence upon me, so I consider that a great compliment.
Sounds really Final Fantasy Tactics Advancy-like (and thus FF XII too).
Quote: Original post by stennyThe first part still needs some power. The player just beat enemies, kicked the hell outta them. What's with the relaxed attitude? Its interesting that you mention that! :)
From a compositional standpoint, I purposefully want the fanfare to be more relaxed, though stately. The battle track will be sufficiently more intense. Hearing the more relaxed fanfare after a difficult battle will hopefully create a nice contrast for the listener. Thats the plan!
If you are referring to lack of power in an orchestral context, I would like to add more power but I am not sure how to best achieve this naturally and without muddying the whole thing up.

Very nice tune! Although I think think the new drums right after the initial fanfare sound a bit off (unfortunally I have little education in music, so I can't word it any better), they sound really good when they pick up again in the middle of the track. Keep up the good work!
