I dont know exactly what you should do, but I do know where you can look... try the MSDN documentation under "Platform SDK". (http://msdn.microsoft.com). Hope this helps.

There are several windows-friendly screensaver demos and the related source at www.codeguru.com. I believe one of them even allows previewing... can't remember which though.

Anybody know what this icon is supposed to represent? *squints really hard at it*

Hello!

I was thinking of making a screensaver. Mostly for education purpose. But I don't know what I shall do so the screensaver can be previed in the desktop. And how to make changes in it.

Anybody know?

Everything you always wanted to know about screen savers. With examples and downloads. It really helped me out when I wanted to write a screen saver.

The most important thing to know about creating a screen saver for windows is knowing the command-line parameters that are passed to your program by Windows. This page explains it all. It will even tell you how to make your screen saver use the preview window on the display properties dialog box.
