I have a question...
Is there any other way, than using lock and unlock every fram, to manually paint on a DirectDraw-surface? Becase it really drops the framerate!
Anyone who can help me?
If you keep your surfaces in the system memory you needn''t lock and unlock all the time, you can just keep the pointer. It''s not recommended though. It shouldn''t be an issue at the moment but new features in future version of Windows/whatever could break your code.
Anyways, you shouldn''t draw directly to any surface unless you cannot avoid it.
"This album was written, recorded and edited at Gröndal, Stockholm in the year of 2000. At this point in time money still ruled the world. Capitalistic thoughts were wide spread. From the sky filled with the fumes of a billionarie''s cigar to the deepest abyss drenched in nuclear waste. A rich kid was a happy kid, oh..dirty, filthy times. Let this be a reminder."
