What does DirectX 8 SDK do really? I know it is for devs but what is it used for? ----------------------- Hail to the king, baby.

SDK stands for software development kit which might hint what it is. Simply a "kit" for developing DirectX 8 applications. Contains documents, examples and the libraries and headers themselves.

Basicly, direct X is an API that allows programmers to develop program without having to bother to create functions to interface with all the gfx cards, sound cards, joystick and much more... It allows the programmer to concentrate on coding instead of coding drivers...
