Somehow made me think of this thread.

Which makes me think of this thread.

By the way, did I just see a Beckett reference? Now that's absurd...

I'll bet money you don't like going new places for vacations.

Right you are. (And eerily so).

I'll also bet money you have some of the same problems picking out your own wardrobe as you have picking your character's wardrobe and attributes.

Oddly enough, that couldn't be further from the truth. If it didn't have implications on my interpersonal relations, I couldn't care less if I wore a burlap sack around everywhere.

But then, my wardrobe doesn't even feel like a choice. Like this morning, I didn't actually make any decisions. I may as well have selected my warddrobe and gotten dressed with a blindfold on. But for some reason in a game, it is a very integral decision to me.

I can understand the "if its reasonably clean and the holes aren't too large it's cool" stance. (sigh) I'll never be a fashion maven. I've got other things to waste my time on like one more cotton-pickin' computer language to learn. Ah for the dos days when all programming was linear and programs were measured in Kb. Ah well, computers are like doing dishes, never gets completely finished LOL!
There's certainly room in gaming for the grab 10 minutes of mindless fun games and the hope it keeps them busy all summer games.
One of those threads mentioned that a persons play had gone from playing to creating. I sure identify with that. I went from playing to taking them apart to see how they tick to finally wanting to make my own from scratch. Now I can't play a game without spending most of my time speculating how a particular effect or behavior was achieved. I'll bet my personal preferences switch to short and linear too!
