Hi all I just finished Lamoths Dummies book. I found pretty good and I am in the middle of programming my first game, which is a 2D spaceship shooter. My question is where do I go next? Can anyone recommend a good book to take me to the next level in DX? I think it would be best if i stuck with Direct Draw for now and learn that well before going on to D3D. I also want to learn some tile based techniques and some later versions of DX, as the dummies book only uses DX5. So has anyone got any suggestions for me? Thanks
Well, if you like LaMothe, you can do worse than his Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Guru''s. Be aware that there is some overlap with the Dummies book though.

Thanks

I was also wondering what some other good authors are at around a similar difficulty level, because I would like to check out so other people coding styles, dont wanna get stuck in one particular style.
