I found a web page a while back called "speedguide.net. This site has registry hacks that open up your network connection all the way. With this hack your connection increases by as much as THREE FOLD. I went from 120k on a ADSL connection to 315K. My brother who has a cable modem went from 90K to 300K. With a 100 Mbs network card you can get up to 1 meg a sec downkload. I did with my machine at home. Try to download directx sdk from microsoft.com I started at 1 meg and after 10 minutes i droped to 315k a sec. If my hub was 100 Base-t then I could keep the 1 meg a sec speed. I hope this helps people who have poor connections and want an easy way to speed up thier connection. Minerjr
How realiable is the connection after TTL and MTU...so on.. has been changed? If only one byte of one-hundred-million bytes file is changed, the program may not work correctly. Has anyone tried these registry hacks for a long time?

Hey, well i just used one of those registry hacks about a week ago. Everything works and I went from 100k/s to 300k/s or higher. I download 1.2gig file (Linux-Mandrake) in 1 hour and 10 mins. I was getting 550k/s. It rocked. I was surfing at the same time. Lol. I am on cable. Just so you know.

I have been using this patch for about 5 months on six different computers. All different operating systems. I never had a problem. All it does is set your connection wide open instead of keeping it restricted. Plus if you have a problem you can download a restore patch to restore the default settings.

Anyone else on Earth use a netware server for a NAT server?

Will those registry settings have any affect if you go through one of those Cable/DSL routers?

BTW, what is the maximum transfer speed of 10 Mbps card?
Seems that my transfer speed always limits to 600kb/s
